Women’s Weekly – Cooking for Friends
Hi Everyone,
I do hope you are keeping warm as the winter chill starts to settle in. All the magazines coming out at present are filled with fabulous wintery mains and desserts which I am anxious to try over the next few weeks. These will be interspersed with the usual recipes from my array of cookbooks.
This week is a fabulous chicken dish which I tasted at a friends house and just had to recreate for the family. Chicken Marbella is light, fresh and versatile. It was given a 10/10 straight up so that says a lot. I just loved the ease of preparation for this dish. I marinated overnight and simply placed it in the oven when I was ready to cook it.
I chose to serve it with a wine risotto and a salad. It would be great with smashed potatoes and baked veg or another idea that came to mind was shredding the chicken and serving it as a sauce with pasta. I will definitely be trying that another time.
This dessert really dose not need a whole lot of embellishment with words. Tiramisu Self-Saucing Pudding really says it all AND then you add a beautiful Mascarpone Cream and you are in dessert heaven.
Beware, this dessert is super rich so a little goes a long way.
The MAV was very happy to have a night or two of left over dessert. This received 9/10 and I will be doing it again.
Until next week…
From my table to yours with love Xx
